What’s going on?

I don’t have any great pictures or news to share.  Nothing BIG has been going on here.  Just us chickens homeschooling and hanging out.  But I thought it was time to update the blog so I’ll post what I do have.

We celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday last Friday.  We started out by reading.  First we went through all of our Dr. Seuss books.  The kids each took turns reading until we ran out.  Then they picked whatever other books they wanted and kept on reading.  Then we read some more.  Blake then said, “WHEN can we stop reading?!”  Lunch time.  So we had lunch (no, the kids did NOT want green eggs and ham darn it), and then we made Seuss cookies.  What are Seuss cookies?  Well, turns out in our house they are brightly colored sugar cookies with sprinkles on top.  They were fun to make, eat, and share.  We shared them with some friends who met us to see the new Dr. Seuss movie, The Lorax..  All in all it was a pretty darn good day.

I didn’t get any pics of the cookies out of the oven.  They were very fun.

And Blake got bored and wanted to make a hover craft.  We’ve been talking about physics and friction.

That’s all I’ve got for now.
