Freebie and New LO's

Hi all,
Glad you came back. So, I've got a new freebie today and it's NOT scraplifted. How cool (and unusual) is that?! Usually I don't have the creativity to post one of my own. When I make a template I don't work with pics, when I make my own LO, I always start with the pics. So, it's wierd and yeah. So, here is one and it has a crumpled paper with a ripped (not great, but it's my first) edge!! Ta- da! I don't think you can use the crumpled part with patterned paper. My paper is crumpled and patterned only b/c the kit I used, Eva Kipler's Carolina Haven, had the crumpled paper in it....If there is a way to do it in a template and use both please fill me in. But, if you want the crumpled paper, I just sample a color with my color picker and then with that layer active click on the fill layer (preserving transparency). If you want the ripped part on a patterned paper, just mask it as usual. Right? Right. And, since Jessica Sprague's class started this week, there is also my LO for the class. Which I just LOVE. A lot of it I already know, but as a self taught digi scrapper, I know I miss a lot of quick and simple ways to do things. Now I'm gettin it though.
AND for those of you who read this far, here's an insider tip for you.... go to http://www.cottagearts.net/ and sign up for thier newsletter.
And here's the template for my goodie treat bags I made. It's pretty simple really. Just slide your paper in under the template layer, embelish, and print. Then score mountain type on the three lines in the middle. If you have the paper laying long-wise left to right it should be like an M if you looked at it at eye level with your patterned paper facing up. Punch a circular punch toward the middle of one side. I happened to place my pumpkin at the place where I wanted to punch when I did the LO, so I just had to punch him out. But you could punch out and then decorate...Then I just used a really small celophane baggies from Michael's, filled with candies, and stapled the treats inside. I cut a length of old shoelace (they are good for something) and attached the punched out circle with an eyelet. This sounds REALLY complicated but it's quick and easy. Have fun!
