The big letter debate...

So, my LO below is nice and all but it's missing something.... Maybe I should use it for my Holiday letter and write the letter part in the middle space? Would that be complete? What's it missing? And, is the letter a good idea? I mean, I like reading what people have been up to, but that's just me (and quite frankly, lately I have found out that not everyone is just like me- go figure). Do you just throw yours away? Is it worth the extra expense of regular postage per card, the extra paper/printing, and the envelope? Are people just as happy or even happier with just a simple postcard picture? I mean, how much can happen in a year? Do you send letters to everyone or just out of touch people? Or just "special people", and how do you decide who makes this "special person list". And then, there's just picking out the card... There are soo many gorgous, fun, and awsome card designs out there, how do I pick just one? I mean, currently, I have about 6 different cards made. I'm having a hard time deciding there, and then I keep seeing more new stuff. I'm feeling overwhelmed here. Who's good at making decisions? I NEED decisions.

Here is where my neurotic me comes in... I NEED to have the cutest cards. I know totally unrealistic and, well, unnatural too, but I do. (Just FYI, the first card was a freebie by Mel Johnson from her 12 days of templates, the second is Holiday scrapover by cottagearts.net, the next is from Wilson and is a freebie at Shutterfly, the next is also by Mel Johnson, and hte last is an old Holiday sampler freebie from SP). BUT Sweetshoppe and SP have some ADORABLE new cards for this year....
Anyway, I thought maybe if nothing better comes out of this than you deciding to start working on your Holiday cards... it's a good thing. Procrastination scares me. I took these photos BEFORE Halloween....
Oops. I just realized that I saved these versions BEFORE I photoshopped the jammies. And that brings me to another $$ saving tip. I LOVE the idea of these coordinating striped jammies, originally from Hanna Anderson (the dog one actually is from Hanna via Ebay), and if you have more $$ than you know what to do with, by all means, it IS cute AND they have matching adult ones too. However, I don't. I found these jammies over at TCP, but as you can see, they have blue collars.... I bought them, selected the green from Dobby's jammies (how many people can say their house elf dog has Christmas jammies??), and filled in the blue with green via a color blend mode.... I saved about sixty some dollars! Yeah me.

My favorite of the kids is the red card, but the Dobster in his pj's is too cute not to use.

You have in fact inspired me to start thinking about it... (sigh)
